HERC has approved signing of PPAs for 23 MW solar power projects at a tariff of Rs 5.68 per kWh without accelerated depreciation. It was done after the HPPC passed a petition to seek approval of a draft PPA it had signed with four solar power developers in 2015. These include Balarch Renewable Energy for 1 MW capacity, Neel Metal Product Limited for 20 MW, Ultimate Sun Systems for 1 MW and Subhash Infra Engineers for 1 MW.
