Tamil Nadu Generation and Distribution Corporation (TANGEDCO), on behalf of the state government, has signed an MoU with NLC India Limited for the development of 1,000 MW solar power projects in Tamil Nadu. As per the MoU, the state government will provide facilitation and support to NLC India in the form of necessary infrastructural support for setting up the projects. Currently, NLC has set up renewable energy projects of 492 MW in the state and 909 MW of solar power projects are under implementation.
