SECI invites RfS bids for 1,200 MW ISTS-connected solar power projects (Tranche III)

The Solar Energy Corporation of India Limited (SECI) has invited Request for Selection bids for the 1,200 MW Inter-State Transmission System (ISTS)-connected solar power projects (Tranche III).

According to tender guidelines, the SECI will sign power purchase agreements (PPAs) with the successful bidders for a period of 25 years. The solar power developer must bid for a minimum capacity of 50 MW and a maximum capacity of 300 MW. The project capacity must be in multiples of 10 MW.

A bidder may either set up the cumulative project capacity at a single location or smaller capacities at multiple locations. A project may consist of any number of blocks, each being in multiples of 10 MW along with a minimum capacity of 20 MW. The minimum voltage level for a single block will be 33 kV. For a single project, blocks must be located within the same state.

The project involves development of the solar power projects across the country on build, own and operate basis and is required to be designed for inter-connection with transmission network of central transmission utility (CTU) at a voltage level of 132 kV or above. The last date for bid submission is February 12, 2019.
