Petroliam Nasional Berhad (Petronas) is in talks with I Squared Capital to acquire majority stake in Amplus Energy Solutions Private Limited. The value of the transaction is expected to be about Rs 27 billion. Currently, I Squared Capital holds 90 per cent stake in Amplus Energy. Besides, Statoil ASA, Total S.A. and Royal Dutch Shell have also evinced interest in investing in Amplus Energy. Amplus Energy Solutions has implemented 350 MW of renewable energy projects across India.
