Vestas Wind Systems has won an engineering, procurement and construction contract from Trinethra Wind and Hydro Power Limited for supply of turbines for the 101 MW wind power project in Rajkot, Gujarat.
The scope of work involves delivery, installation and commissioning of 46 V120-2.2 MW turbines along with civil and electrical works. Upon completion, Vestas will commence a 15 year service agreement and will provide Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition system for the project. The turbine delivery is expected to commence by June 2019 and work on the same is expected to be completed by September 2019.
The project is being developed by Trinethra Wind and Hydro Power, a subsidiary of Continuum Wind Energy at Rajkot, Gujarat. It is designed to sell power to commercial and industrial consumers through third-party power purchase agreements.
