HPGCL invites EoI for 57 MW solar PV project in Haryana

Haryana Power Generation Corporation Limited (HPGCL) has invited an Expression of Interest (EoI) for the development of ground-mounted solar PV power plants of cumulative capacity of 57 MW at the locations in Haryana.

Of the total 57 MW capacity- 12 MW will be developed at three locations at WYC Hydel Power Plant, Yamuna Nagar on 58.75 acres of land, 15 MW will be developed on land adjacent to ash disposal area of Deen Bandhu Chhotu Ram Thermal Power Plant on 90 acres of land while 30 MW will be developed on 151.78 acres of land available at Faridabad Thermal Power Station. The land for the project is available with HPGCL and will be provided free of cost to the successful developer.

According to the official documents, the interested bidder will be responsible for building and operation of the plant. Further, HPGCL will sign a PPA for a period of 25 years with the successful bidder and will supply power to nearby designated sub-station. HPGCL will also supply power to Haryana Power Purchase Centre, Uttar Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam Limited and Dakshin Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam.
