Aditya Birla Renewables Limited (ABRL) has signed a PPA for a 25 year period with Grid Corporation of Odisha (GRIDCO) for the 75 MW solar PV project in Odisha. Currently, ABRL is in talks with Odisha Industrial Infrastructure Development Corporation for the finalisation of land for the 75 MW project. The project requires 375 acres of land and is proposed to be set up across various locations due to unavailability of contiguous land.
Besides, GRIDCO has cancelled the tenders for the development of solar power projects of 125 MW capacity in the state. The same was awarded to Sukhbir Agro Energy Limited (25 MW), Gupta Power Infrastructure Limited (20 MW), Eden Renewable Varenne Private Limited (50 MW) and ACME Solar Holdings Limited (30 MW) in July 2018.
