RfS bids for 23 GW of solar power projects in Leh and Ladakh to be issued by SECI

SECI has planned to issue RfS bids for the implementation of grid-connected ultra mega PV projects of 23 GW in the Leh & Ladakh regions of Jammu & Kashmir. Phase I of the project will include the development of 2,500 MW of solar power capacity in the Kargil region and 5,000 MW in Leh district. According to media sources, the projects are planned to be set up in the Pang region in Leh and in the Zangla region in Kargil. The drawal points for projects in the Kargil region and Leh district are planned to be located in New Wanpoh and Hisar respectively. The scope of work includes setting up of solar projects along with the implementation of the entire power evacuation infrastructure (substations along with transmission lines), till the drawal point.
