KSERC grants approval to KSEB to issue tenders for 200 MW of solar projects

The Kerala State Electricity Regulatory Commission (KSERC) has granted approval to the Kerala State Electricity Board (KSEB) to issue tenders for the development of 200 MW of solar PV power projects in Kerala. KSERC has recommended the following for the proposal submitted by KSEB. First, the minimum solar power capacity to be developed should be 1 MW instead of 5 MW. Second, the solar power generator should be able to attain financial closure within 12 months from the date of issuance of the letter of acceptance (LoA), instead of the date of execution of the PPA. Third, the project should be commissioned within a period of 21 months from the date of LoA, instead of the date of execution of the PPA.
