Vestas wins EPC contract for supply of turbines for wind power project in Thattaparai

Vestas Wind Systems has won an EPC contract from Vivid Solaire Energy Private Limited (Engie) for supply of turbines for the 252 MW Thattaparai wind power project in Tuticorin district of Tamil Nadu.

The scope of work involves delivery, installation and commissioning of 126 V120-2.0 MW turbines along with the project’s civil and electrical works. The turbines will be serviced by Vestas under a 10 year full scope active output management service agreement. The project will also utilise Vesta’s Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) solution. The turbine delivery is expected to commence in June 2019 and work on the same is expected to be completed by March 2020. The project is being developed by Vivid Solaire Energy was awarded to the company by Solar Energy Corporation of India Limited (SECI).
