Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL) has invited Request for Submission (RfS) bids for procurement of power from biomass projects with a combined capacity of 50 MW. The scope of work includes development and installation of grid-connected biomass plants on BOO basis. MSEDCL will also sign a PPA for a period of 20 years for fulfilment of its non-solar renewable purchase obligation (RPO) target. According to official documents, each project should have a minimum installed capacity of 5 MW. The last date for submission of bids is January 4, 2019.
