Siemens Gamesa wins 263 MW of new wind onshore orders in Europe

Spanish company Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy has secured orders totalling 263 MW for new onshore wind projects in Sweden, Norway, Germany and Turkey. In Sweden, Siemens Gamesa has sealed a deal with Arise Windpower for 20 turbines with a total capacity of 82 MW. In Norway, the company will sell seven turbines of a total capacity of 30 MW to Eolus Vind for its Stigafjellet wind farm. It will supply another seven wind turbines, with more than 25 MW of capacity, to Windpark Mautitz Sud in Germany. While in Turkey, the company will provide 37 wind turbines of more than 125 MW capacity to Afken Renewable Energy. According to sources, each turbine is expected to be in the 2.3 MW-4.1 MW performance range.
