RfS bid due date extended for 1,400 MW solar projects in Maharashtra

Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL) has further extended the Request for Selection (RfS) bid due date for development of ground-mounted solar power plants with a combined capacity of 1,400 MW in 30 districts of the state.

to be connected at distribution network (11/22 kV) in 30 districts in the state of Maharashtra under Mukhyamantri Saur Krishi Vahini Yojana.

Each district will have 50 MW of solar power plants. The districts include Solapur , Sangli , Ahmednagar, Baramati, Satara, Pune and Kolhapur in western Maharashtra; Buldhana, Amaravati , Nagpur , Yavatmal , Wardha , Washim , Gondia , Gadchiroli , Chandrapur and Bhandara  in Vidharba region; Aurangabad , Latur , Parbhani , Hingoli , Beed , Osmanbad and Nanded in Marathwada region; Malegaon , Jalgaon , Dhule, Nasik and Nandurbar in rest of the Maharashtra.

The Maharashtra government has appointed MSEDCL as the implementing agency for the ‘Mukhyamantri Solar Agriculture feeder Scheme’ for providing daytime power to agricultural consumers. The power generated under this scheme will be consumed for agriculture load at local level. MSEDCL will sign a power purchase agreement (PPA) with the successful bidders for a period of 25 years from the date of commercial operations. A bidder can bid for a minimum and maximum capacity of 2 MW and 10 MW respectively.
