Canadian Solar signs agreement to acquire 51 per cent stake in Suzlon’s two solar power projects

Ontario-based Canadian Solar has acquired the 51 per cent stake it didn’t already own in two solar power ventures with Suzlon Group. Suzlon and Canadian Solar had entered into a joint venture in 2016 for two solar power projects – Amun Solarfarms Limited and Avighna Solarfarms Limited. Earlier, Canadian Solar had picked up a 49% stake each in Amun and Avighna for a total of Rs 264.2 million. Suzlon has now sold the remaining stake for a total of Rs 281.1 million. The two solar projects have a capacity of 15 megawatt each and are located in Telangana.
