Solar Energy Corporation of India Limited (SECI) has further extended the Request for Selection (RfS) bid due date for the development of Phase I (50 MW x 5) of the 500 MW Dhule Solar Power Project in the state of Maharashtra from October 31, 2018 to December 14, 2018. Besides, the due date has been extended because Tata Power Renewable Energy was the sole bidder for the 250 MW auction at Dhodhainicha Solar Park in Maharashtra. Bids for the same were earlier issued in April 2018.
The project involves development of 500 MW grid-connected solar photovoltaic (PV) power park at Dondaichi village of Dhule district in the state of Maharashtra. SECI has invited bids for the project on behalf of Maharashtra State Power Generation Company (MSPGCL). The power purchase agreements (PPAs) will be signed within one month from the date of issue of Letter of Award (LoA). The PPAs will be executed between SECI and the selected bidders for a period of 25 years from the date of commercial operations. The period of completion of work is 12 months from the effective date of the PPA.
