Greater Visakhapatnam Smart City Corporation Limited (GVSCCL) has extended the Request for Proposal (RfP) bid due date for development of the 15 MW Meghadri Gedda Floating Solar Farm Project in Visakhapatnam from November 5, 2018 to November 26, 2018.
The scope of work includes design, engineering, procurement, supply, packing, forwarding, transportation, unloading, storage at site, site development, construction, erection, installation of equipment, testing and commissioning open access related works along with comprehensive operation and maintenance (O&M) of the plant for a period of 10 years. The bids have been invited on turnkey basis along with grid connecting equipment including open access related works and associated electrical and civil works.
The project involves development of a 15 MW floating solar farm at Meghadri Gedda reservoir in Visakhapatnam district, Andhra Pradesh. The project, to be implemented as a part of the smart city mission, will be funded and owned by GVSCCL and the power generated from the project will be used by GVSCCL through open access as captive consumption. The period of completion of work is two years from the date of issue of Letter of Intent (LoI).
