The EU provides a grant to the Philippines government

The European Union has provided a grant of approximately $68.54 million to the Government of Philippines to help the country provide electricity to over 100,000 households living in the Bangsamoro region through off-grid renewable energy projects. The initiative is implemented under the Access to Sustainable Energy Programme (ASEP) and is supported by the United States Department of Energy. In addition, under the ASEP’s program, about 40,500 solar home systems, with a capacity of 50 watt each, will be installed in various provinces of Mindanao.
