Albania has selected a consortium of three companies to develop its first solar plant with a capacity of 100 MW. The three companies are India Power Corporation Limited, the UAE-based Mining Resources FZE and Hong Kong-based Midami Limited. The project is expected to cost $79.34 million and is in line with the country’s target to install 120 MW of solar and 70 MW of wind power capacity by 2020.
