Odisha approves NHPC’s plan to set up 40 MW solar power project in the state

The Odisha government has approved NHPC Limited’s plan for setting up a 40 MW solar power project in the Ganjam district of the state. The project will be developed on around 180 acres of land at an estimated cost of Rs 1.96 billion. The land required for the project will be allotted by the Odisha Industrial Infrastructure Development Corporation and the power produced will be evacuated by Odisha Power Transmission Corporation Limited. Reportedly, the Grid Corporation of Odisha has shown interest in purchasing power generated from this project.
