NTPC Limited has floated a tender for the development of 70 MW of grid-connected floating solar projects at the Rajiv Gandhi Combined Cycle Power Project in Kayamkulam, Kerala. The scope of work includes the design, engineering, manufacturing, supply, packing and forwarding, transportation, unloading, storage, installation and commissioning of projects. The successful bidder will be responsible for the O&M of the plant and the transmission system for a period of three years from the date of successful completion of the trial run. As per the tender document, to qualify for bidding under the technical criteria, a bidder should have designed, supplied, installed and commissioned 40 MW of combined solar capacity, and at least one plant of a minimum capacity of 10 MW. The document further specifies that on the day of bid opening, the average annual turnover of the bidder during the past three years should not be less than Rs 2,506 million. Solar cells and modules for the projects can be imported from any country. The bid submission deadline is November 15, 2018.
