MSEDCL invites bids for development of 1,400 MW solar capacity

Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL) has invited RfS bids for the development of 1,400 MW of ground-mounted power projects. The solar plant will be connected to the 11-22 kV distribution network in 30 districts of the state. The project is being implemented under the Mukhyamantri Agricultural Solar Feeder Scheme and will ensure the supply of 12-hours of electricity per day for agricultural use. MSEDCL has set the tariff ceiling at Rs 3.10 per kW for this tender and will enter into a PPA with the successful bidders for a period of 25 years from the date of commercial operations. A bidder can bid for minimum 2 MW and maximum 10 MW capacities in a district or circle. The bid submission deadline is October 23, 2018.
