Italy extends fiscal incentive for residential PV to storage system

The Italian government has announced that it will extend the fiscal incentive given for the installation of residential PV systems linked to sustainable house building and renovations to small-sized storage systems. According to the Italian Revenue Agency, the personal income tax deduction equal to maximum 50 per cent of the expenses incurred, and up to a maximum amount of Euro 96,000, can also be applied to the purchase of a storage system set up simultaneously with or after the installation of the PV system. However, the expense limit of Euro 96,000 will apply to both the system and the storage system. The 50 per cent deduction has been granted only to residential renewable energy projects.
