India has contributed $1 million for the development of a solar project at the United Nations (UN) headquarters in New York. The funds will be used for the installation of solar panels on the rooftop of the UN’s conference building in New York in a bid to help reduce the headquarters’ carbon footprint and promote sustainable energy.
