Germany-based KACO new energy has launched a new string inverter, called blueplanet 125 TL3, the company’s first inverter designed for 1,500 Volt modules. This is also the first inverter incorporating silicon carbide (SiC) semiconductors. The product is easy to install and maintain, with easy accessibility to critical components like the tool-free removal of cooling fans. The blueplanet 125 TL3 offers reliable operation and is well suited for large solar power plants.
Due to the use of SiC technology, the blueplanet 125 TL3 inverter weighs less than 80 kg at the rated power capacity of 125 kVA. The inverter offers high power density and allows for an over-sizing of its AC power by 1.5 times. The high performance of the inverter is underlined by the maximum power of 137.5 kVA, an efficiency of 99 per cent and a wide maximum power point range from 875 V to 1,300 V. This string inverter is suitable for use in all climatic conditions, as it is designed for handling a wide temperature range. These inverters can be commissioned and monitored via mobile devices on site or from remote locations.
