NTPC Limited has invited bids for the development of a 190 MW wind solar hybrid power project at Kudgi in Karnataka. As per the tender guidelines, the successful bidder would have to set up a minimum capacity of 60 MW of wind and 130 MW of solar PV at the site on a turnkey basis. All the bids would have to be accompanied by a bid security of Rs 100 million.
To qualify for the technical bid, the interested developers should meet the following criteria:
- The bidder should have manufactured, supplied, installed and commissioned wind turbine generators as per MNRE’s ‘Revised List of Models and Manufactures’ with a minimum rating of 600 kW.
- The bidder should have designed, supplied, installed and commissioned solar PV based grid-connected power projects of cumulative installed capacity of 40 MWp or above, out of which at least one project should have been of 10 MWp capacity or above.
The tender further states that to meet the financial criteria, the average annual turnover of the bidder should not be less than Rs 2.35 billion.
The scope of work includes design, engineering, manufacturing, supply, packing and forwarding, transportation, unloading, storage, installation and commissioning of the project. In addition, the developer would be responsible for operations and maintenance (O&M) of the project for a period of one year from the date of commissioning. The last date for submission of bids is November 21, 2018.
