Madhya Pradesh announces results of its 8.6 MW rooftop solar tender

A total of eight companies won the bids for implementing 8.6 MW of grid connected rooftop solar PV projects (RESCO-II) in Madhya Pradesh. Madhya Pradesh Urja Vikas Nigam Limited (MPUVNL) has awarded the projects to TEPSOL Solar Power Ventures Private Limited, Cleantech Solar Private Limited, Cleanmax Enviro Energy Solutions, Madhav Infra Projects Private Limited, Azure Power Rooftop (Genco) Private Limited, Hero Rooftop Energy Private Limited, Archita Renewable Energy and Spark Infra Projects Private Limited.

To expedite the project implementation, the work orders and power purchase agreements (PPAs) were signed on the day of bid result announcement.

TEPSOL Solar Power Ventures, Cleantech Solar, Cleanmax Enviro Energy Solutions, Madhav Infra Projects, Azure Power Rooftop (Genco) and Hero Rooftop Energy have won the bids for developing the rooftop solar plants at government medical colleges by quoting Rs 1.62 per kWh, Rs 1.66 per kWh, Rs 1.67 per kWh, Rs 1.73 per kWh, Rs 1.86 per kWh and Rs 1.9 per kWh respectively.

Archita Renewable Energy, Cleantech Solar, Cleanmax Enviro Energy Solutions, Madhav Infra Projects, Azure Power Rooftop (Genco), Hero Rooftop Energy, Archita Renewable Energy and Spark Infra Projects have won the bids for developing rooftop solar power plants at central government buildings by quoting Rs 1.38 per kWh, Rs 1.48 per kWh, Rs 1.67 per kWh, Rs 1.67 per kWh, Rs 1.97 per kWh, Rs 2.00 per kWh and Rs 2.17 per kWh respectively.

The project involves development of 8.6 MW grid connected rooftop solar photovoltaic plants under two groups (A and B) at 13 locations in the state. Group A includes medical colleges while Group B includes central government undertaking.

For developing these projects, 43 per cent subsidy will be provided for the government sector, wherein the central government will provide 25 per cent and Madhya Pradesh government will provide the remaining 20 per cent. Two per cent will be deducted as administrative charges. For private and non-profit sector, the central government will provide 30 per cent subsidy while Madhya Pradesh government will provide 20 per cent subsidy (only up to 25 kW capacity). Two per cent will also go towards administrative charges taking the total subsidy to 48 per cent for a 25 kW project. Subsidy for 500 kW projects will be approximately 29 per cent.
