Solar Energy Corporation of India Limited (SECI) has further extended the bid due date for the development of 2,500 MW Inter-State Transmission System (ISTS)-Connected Wind-Solar Hybrid Power Project under Tranche I from October 5, 2018 to October 26, 2018.
The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) announced the new policy for wind-solar hybrid projects on May 14, 2018. The ministry has appointed SECI as the nodal agency for the projects. SECI will sign the power purchase agreement (PPA) with the hybrid project developers (HPDs) for a period of 25 years from the date as per the provisions of PPA.
The projects are expected to be implemented on built, own and operate (BOO) basis.
