SECI issues 250 MW tender for solar projects to be developed in Maharashtra

SECI has issued a request for selection for grid-connected solar PV power projects of 250 MW (5×50 MW), to be developed in the Dondaicha Solar Park (Phase I) in Dhule district of Maharashtra. A bidder can either submit a single bid for the entire 250 MW of planned capacity or part of it in multiples of 50 MW. The selection of these bidders will be carried out through an e-bidding process. As per the tender guidelines, the annual capacity utilisation factor of the projects should not be less than 17 per cent. In addition, an earnest money deposit of Rs 1 million per MW needs to be submitted by the bidders in the form of a bank guarantee. The successful bidder will have to submit a performance guarantee of Rs 2 million per MW within 30 days of issuance of the letter of award or before signing of the PPA, whichever is earlier. The upper ceiling of the tariff payable has been set at Rs 2.93 per kW. The successful bidder will sign a 25-year PPA with SECI.
