ONGC commissions 10 MW captive solar power

Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Limited’s (ONGC’s) 10 MW captive solar power project for in Gujarat has been commissioned. The plant was developed by Vikram Solar Private Limited.

The project will power ONGC’s Dhaej, Gandhar and Hazira plant in Gujarat and is segregated into eight blocks of 1.25 MW each for better management and increased efficiency.

The project is spread across 56 acres of land and the solar plant has 44,144 modules powering the whole unit. Vikram Solar will provide operations and maintenance (O&M) services to the plant for a period of three years.
