NTPC Energy Technology Research Alliance (NETRA) and Central Institute of Plastics engineering & Technology (CIPET) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for the development of the technological framework for production of floaters for floating solar power plants on September 7, 2018.
The MoU aims to establish the technology for production of floaters for multi-megawatt scale floating photovoltaic plants. Both the companies will work together towards building comprehensive quality plans, to increase the vendor base and capacity building in the area of floater production and maintenance technologies.
