Ostro Kutch Wind Private Limited, now a part of ReNew Power, has commissioned the partial capacity of 126 MW out of 250 MW capacity under the first batch of the 1,000 MW Inter-State Transmission System (ISTS) connected wind power projects. The electricity generated from this project will be purchased by Bihar, Odisha, Jharkhand, and Uttar Pradesh.
Ostro had awarded the engineering, procurement and construction work to Vestas Wind Technology India. For the total 250 MW capacity, Vestas will supply 125 V110-2.0 MW turbines and will service the same for a period of 10-years.
The tender for Tranche-I had been rolled out by SECI in November, 2016 and the PPAs had been signed with the successful bidders in July 2017. Mytrah, Inox Wind and Ostro Energy had won 250 MW capacity each, while Green Infra had won 249.9 MW. Adani Green Energy had won the remaining 50 MW capacity.
