Uttar Pradesh to give additional subsidy for solar rooftop systems

The Uttar Pradesh New and Renewable Energy Development Agency (UPNEDA) will provide subsidy to the tune of Rs 15,000 per KW to residential consumers for the installation of rooftop solar PV systems in the state. However, the maximum subsidy limit for any project is Rs 30,000. The government aims to increase the affordability of solar PV systems for residential consumers through this initiative. The state subsidy will be provided in addition to the 30 per cent CFA given by the the MNRE.
