Adani Green Energy acquires AGEPteL and sets up wind energy subsidiary

Adani Green Energy has acquired 100 per cent stake in Adani Green Energy Pte Limited (AGEPteL) from its Group firm Adani Global Pte Limited. AGEPteL had been incorporated in March 2017 for investment in international renewable businesses.

According to a BSE filing, AGEPteL has authorised and paid-up share capital of $2,000 with no turnover as on March 31, 2018. After this acquisition, AGEPteL has become a wholly-owned subsidiary of Adani Green Energy.

Adani Green Energy has also set up a wholly-owned subsidiary, Adani Wind Energy (GJ) Limited (AWEGL), to enter the wind power generation market. The company has been created at a cost of Rs 1,00,000 (10,000 shares of Rs 10 each).
