ADB to provide $45.44 million in assistance to Bangladesh for developing off-grid solar

ADB has announced a loan of $20 million to Bangladesh under its Power System Efficiency Improvement Project for the development of off-grid solar solutions in the country. In addition, the bank will provide a $25.44 million grant to develop off-grid solar pumping for agricultural irrigation – $22.4 million from the Scaling up Renewable Energy in Low Income Countries Programme and $3 million from the Clean Energy Fund for Output-based Aid under the ADB-administered Clean Energy Financing Partnership Facility.
