The Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) has issued a tender for the development of two 1.5 MW solar power projects having battery energy storage systems (BESS) at Tangtse and Durbuk in Leh district of Jammu & Kashmir. The tender has been issued on behalf of the Military Engineer Services (MES) which is a construction agency under the Ministry of Defence.
The scope of work includes the design, engineering, supply, construction, installation, testing, and commissioning of the two solar projects at both sites. In addition, the successful bidder will also be responsible for providing operations and maintenance (O&M) services for a period of 10 years. The O&M contact will include the supply and storage of all mandatory spare parts, consumables, repairs and replacements of any defective equipment during the period.
The successful bidder will be expected to complete the entire scope of work within 12 months from the date of issuance of notice of availability (NoA). As per tender guidelines, a single bidder is eligible to submit only one bid, however multiple bids from a single bidder may be considered depending upon the project specific requirements.
The pre-bid meeting is scheduled to take place on July 25, 2018 and last date for bid submission is August 23, 2018. Consortiums or joint ventures are allowed to bid for these projects.
