The 200 MW capacity grid-connected solar PV tender rolled out by the Grid Corporation of Odisha (GRIDCO) has been oversubscribed by almost four times. The capacity was tendered by GRIDCO in April 2018. This was the first tender that had come with a pass-through option when there were uncertainties surrounding safeguard duty.
Reportedly, a total of 14 bidders have submitted technical bids with a total capacity of 845 MW. The financial bidding and the issue of letter of award (LoA) is expected to be completed soon. The bidders are:
|Developer||Bid capacity (MW)|
|Eden Renewable Varenne||50|
Odisha has a target to set up 2,378 MW of cumulative solar power capacity, which includes 1 GW of rooftop solar, by 2022.
