A total of nine companies have won the bids for implementing the 1,000 MW Uttar Pradesh Solar Photovoltaic (PV) Power Projects. These are: Mahoba Solar (Adani), Maheshwari Mining and Energy Private Limited, ACME Solar Holdings Private Limited, Feynman Solarfarms Private Limited (Canadian Solar), Sukhbir Agro Energy Limited, Rays Power Infra Private Limited, Eden Renewable Jasmin Private Limited, Azure Power India Private Limited and Hero Solar Energy Private Limited.

The lowest (L1) tariff in this auction is Rs 0.78 per kWh, more than the tariff of Rs 2.70 per kWh seen in the recently held SECI’s 750 MW auction. Bids for the same were invited by Uttar Pradesh New and Renewable Energy Development Agency (UPNEDA) in April 2018. The PPA will be signed with the successful bidder for 25 years.
