SECI auctions 2,000 MW of solar power capacity

A total of six companies have won the bids for implementing the 2,000 MW ISTS connected solar power projects tendered by Solar Energy Corporation of India Limited (SECI). These are: ACME Solar Holdings Private Limited, Shapoorji Pallnji Group, Hero Future Energy Limited, Mahindra Susten Limited, Azure Power India Private Limited and Mahoba Solar UP (Adani).

*Mahoba Solar had submitted the bids for 500 MW, however, has been allocated only MW.

SECI had invited these bids in January 2018. The ISTS-connected solar power projects will be implemented in eight packages of 250 MW capacity each, on build, own and operate (BOO) basis. SECI will sign the power purchase agreements (PPAs) with the successful bidders for a period of 25 years within three months from the date of issue of Letter of Intent (LoI).
