Lebanon receives positive response for developing wind projects in the country

Lebanon’s Ministry of Energy and Water has received an overwhelming response for the development of 200-400 MW of wind capacity in the country. There were 42 bidders from 21 countries that responded to the expression of interest (EoI) issued by the government. Of these, the majority were Lebanese companies, followed by companies from the UAE, China, Denmark, France, Spain, Italy and the UK. A detailed request for proposals (RfP) will follow, which is expected to be announced in September 2018.
