Dubai seeks IPP advisory services to assess achievement of 5 GW solar target by 2030

As a first step towards the development of Phase V of the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Solar Park, the Dubai Water and Electricity Authority (DEWA) has issued a tender seeking independent power producer (IPP) advisory services to assess the path to achieve 5 GW target by 2030. The park currently consists of two operational photovoltaic (PV) plants – 13 MW under Phase I and 200 MW under Phase II. Apart from this, an 800 MW PV project and a 200 MW concentrating solar power (CSP) plant are currently under development in various phases.
