SECI has indefinitely extended the bid-submission deadline for the development of 200 MW capacity of solar projects under the domestic content requirement (DCR) category to be developed in Madhya Pradesh. The projects had been tendered by SECI on behalf of Coal India Limited (CIL) in October 2017 for its two subsidiaries. However, due to a lack of interest from project developers, SECI had not announced the results and has now decided to postpone the same.
The project has to be developed at the Neemuch-Mandsaur Solar Park in Madhya Pradesh in two blocks of 100 MW capacity each. One 100 MW block will be developed for Northern Coalfields Limited and the other 100 MW block for Southeastern Coalfields Limited.
The projects are to be set up on an engineering procurement and construction (EPC) basis and the scope of work includes the design, engineering, procurement, supply of equipment and materials, testing, inspections, supply, receipt, unloading and storage at site, associated civil works, services, permits, licenses, installation and incidentals, insurance at all stages, installation, and commissioning of the grid-connected solar power projects.
