MSEDCL’s 1 GW tender results released; six companies chosen to set up solar projects

A total of six companies have won the bids for development of 1,000 MW Grid Connected Solar Photovoltaic (PV) Power Projects (MSEDCL) in Maharashtra.

JLTM Energy India (Technique Solaire) and Mahoba Solar UP (Adani) have won the bids to develop 20 MW and 200 MW capacities respectively by quoting the lowest tariff of Rs 2.71 per kWh. Meanwhile, ReNew Power, ACME Solar, Tata Power Renewable Energy and Azure Power have won bids for 250 MW, 250 MW, 150 MW and 130 MW capacities respectively by quoting Rs 2.72 per kWh.

A total of eight companies had submitted the technical bids for the tender. These include ReNew Power (250 MW), Avaada Power (250 MW), ACME (250 MW), Adani (200 MW), Azure Power (150 MW), Tata Power Renewable Energy (150 MW), Shapoorji Pallonji (180 MW) and Technique Solar (20 MW). With this, the tender re-issued by MSEDCL in April 2018 was oversubscribed by an aggregate capacity of 450 MW.
