MSEDCL invites bids for procurement of power from 1,000 MW solar power projects under Mukhyamantri Agricultural Solar Feeder Scheme

Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL) invited Request for Selection (RfS) bids for procurement of power from 1,000 MW Grid Connected Solar Photovoltaic Power Projects under the Mukhyamantri Agricultural Solar Feeder Scheme on April 27, 2018. The last date for bid submission is May 22, 2018.

The project is being developed in 218 talukas of 20 districts of Maharashtra for procurement of power from 2 MW to 10 MW capacity solar power projects having total capacity of about 1,000 MW through competitive bidding process.

The Government of Maharashtra appointed MSEDCL as the implementing agency for Mukhyamantri Agricultural Solar Feeder Scheme for giving day time power to agricultural consumers in March 2018. Also, in order to fulfill the renewable power purchase obligation (RPO) and to meet the future power requirements, MSEDCL will enter into power purchase agreement (PPA) with the bidders selected based on this RfS for purchase of solar power for a period of 25 years.
