Trina Solar has introduced a new smart photovoltaic (PV) solution, TrinaPro, for utility-scale, ground-mounted PV systems as well as floating solar plants. TrinaPro combines the company’s solar modules with a solar tracker system and inverter, with both hardware and software integration.
The ground-mounted solution features a state-of-the-art solar tracker system, which can help improve energy gain by 10-30 per cent. The floating solution can cover several application scenarios such as reservoirs, lakes and beaches.
With the optimised matching among components and Edge computing algorithm integration, TrinaPro can improve system stability through higher power generation and a lower balance of system cost, which would in turn reduce the system levellised cost of energy.
Further, with the interconnection between the Edge computing algorithm and a smart operations and maintenance system on a cloud platform, TrinaPro helps analyse and process data from the cloud to optimise the system’s operational model and ensure that the system runs smoothly and efficiently.
The solution has been developed by Trina Solar in partnership with Huawei Technologies, Sungrow Power Supply and Nclave Renewable.
