Maharashtra tenders wind power capacity worth 250 MW

MSEDCL has tendered wind power project capacity of 250 MW to be developed in the state. An upper tariff ceiling of Rs 2.52 per kWh has been set by MSEDCL for this tender. MSEDCL will enter into PPAs with the successful bidders for a period of eight years from the commercial operation date of the projects. The minimum capacity allowed for bidding by a single developer is 1 MW and there is no upper tariff ceiling on the maximum capacity. In case of under generation of power, the developers will be liable to pay the compensation to MSEDCL. The projects have to be commissioned on or before March 31, 2019, after which MSEDCL will encash a performance bank guarantee on a per day basis.
