The Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL) has invited Expression of Interest (EoI) from solar power project developers to set up a 1,000 MW capacity floating solar power project on the Ujjani Dam reservoir in Solapur district of Maharashtra.
Reportedly the notice has been issued with the purpose of exploring the market for eligible and interested bidders and a tender notice will be issued later. MSEDCL has allowed prospective bidders to form joint ventures (JVs) for project implementation.
After declaring the results, MSEDCL will enter into a 25yearpower purchase agreements (PPAs) with the developers. The last date of submission of the EoI is April 21, 2018.
