Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL) has announced the results of its 500 MW capacity auction for grid-connected wind power projects. The power generated will be used to meet its non-solar RPO. Adani Green Energy and KCT Renewable Energy Private Limited quoted the lowest tariff of Rs 2.85 per kWh for developing 75 MW of capacity each. Inox Wind, Mytrah Energy and Hero Wind Energy Private Limited quoted a tariff of Rs 2.86 per kWh to develop 50 MW, 100 MW and 75.6 MW respectively. Torrent Power Limited quoted a tariff of Rs 2.87 per kWh to develop 146 MW of capacity but was awarded only 124.4 MW of capacity.
