In an amendment to the National Solar Mission Phase-II, Batch-IV, 5 GW viability gap funding (VGF) scheme, the MNRE has deleted the clause on the domestic content requirement (DCR) category grid-connected solar photovoltaic (PV) projects. This has been done to comply with the World Trade Organization’s (WTO) norms and for improving the global perception on India’s stance on the DCR issue.
