U.S announces ruling on anti-dumping tariffs on imported solar cells and modules

The US has imposed a 30 per cent anti-dumping tariff on imported solar cells and modules for the first year, ending the uncertainty in the solar market which had led to a tight supply situation and a hike in solar panel prices worldwide. The anti-dumping tariff will decline by 5 per cent each year to reach 15 per cent in 2022. In addition, the ruling has exempted the first 2.5 GW of solar cells and modules from these tariffs.
