SECI has rolled out a global EPC tender for 2,000 MW of interstate transmission system (ISTS)-connected solar PV projects to be developed across the country. The total tendered capacity comprises eight projects of 250 MW capacity each. A single bidder is eligible to bid for a minimum of 250 MW and a maximum of 500 MW capacity. The successful bidders will be responsible for developing the required transmission infrastructure. An upper tariff ceiling of Rs 2.93 per kWh has been fixed by SECI and the deadline for the submission of bids is March 21, 2018.
